With the gritty vocals of Kris Mallory and Holly Sorensen, The Wasteland Kings bring an edge to every song they do. They’re coming a long way to bring their magic to the Mount Baker stage. Josey WailsThis is an encore performance for this solid Skagit County trio. Fronted by the talented Cory Vincent on vocals and guitar and supported by the tightest rhythm section you’ll ever see with Scott Blair on bass and Try Sherman on drums. Superior musicianship and stellar songwriting make this band one of the most sought after bands around.

Cory Vincent’s blistering guitar solos and resounding vocals are as good as it gets! Solid basslines and machine-like rhythm on drums from Scott and Terry complete this outstanding blues band. Welcome back boys!

Bobby PattersonWell, Fat Tones fans, there is much more to come. This past year, “Uncle” Bob Erghot retired from playing music professionally. Hence, The Fat Tones retired as well.

Never fear! “Bad Ass” Bobby Patterson is a long way from retiring. Giving his blessings to “Uncle” Bob, Mr. Patterson has chosen to move on with his gifted resume of songs and talent. Bobby has garnered the support of some of the Eastside’s most prestigious musicians to form this All-Star band. Bobby himself, has no equal. He stands tall amongst the greatest guitarists, songwriters, and front men of all time.

Be prepared for many of those Fat Tones tunes you have come to know so well. Bobby will bring his new material to the Mount Baker stage as well to begin the next fine chapter of the Bobby Patterson experience. Limitless energy and his amazing storytelling abilities, together with his virtuosity on guitar makes for a solid platform for his own signature band.

Selwyn BirchwoodWINNER of the International Blues Challenge in 2013, as well as the Albert King, Guitarist of the Year award that same year… Shortly afterward, Alligator records signed Selwyn Birchwood and released his national debut album “Don’t Call No Ambulance.” Quick start for any rising Superstar!

Selwyn is a guitar, lap-steel playing pure fireball! He delivers his original songs with a revival preacher’s fervor and a natural storyteller’s charisma. Birchwood plays “high octane” blues with true passion and honest emotion. With his top notch band feeding off his drive and exuberance, the striking, 6’3” tall, 29-year old with his trademark Afro roams the stage (often barefoot), ripping off memorable guitar licks with ease. His ability to win over an audience—any audience—is proven show after show, night after night. With his warm, magnetic personality, Selwyn is as down to earth as his music is fun. 7pm–8:30pm: Kim Simmonds and SAVOY BROWN

Savoy BrownKim Simmonds, legendary founder and front man for this Legendary British Blues/Rock band has kept Savoy Brown alive and well for over 50 years! Savoy Brown, originally called Savoy Brown Blues Band, can rightly take the credit for cutting the farewell anthem for the end of the 1960’s British blues boom. Late in the 1960’s this boom was near its end as many of the major blues clubs were closing their doors.

Within four years of its formation, Savoy Brown had become a major-league live act in America. After 50 years, Savoy Brown, led by legendary guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Kim Simmonds continue to be one of the most respected and highly sought after acts the world over. With a limited tour schedule these days, we are indeed lucky to have this legendary band on stage.

Personnel currently are Kim Simmonds of course on guitar and vocals, Pat DeSalvo on bass guitar and Garnet Grimm on drums. We are proud to bring these blues greats to our stage once again! 9:00pm–close: THE YARDBIRDS

The YardbirdsContinuing this year’s journey into British Blues, The Yardbirds are here to take you on a journey into the past, present, and future. They too, span over 50 years setting the pace for others to follow. Formed originally in London in the 1960s, The Yardbirds boasted some of the most famous guitarists of all time: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy page. Co-founded by drummer Jim McCarty with singer Keith Relf, rhythm guitarist Chris Dreya, bassist Paul Samwell-Smith, and lead guitarist Top Topham, the band unleashed a series of hits including “For Your Love,” “Over Under Sideways Down,” and “Heart Full of Soul,” and in turn, influenced generations of musicians and fans.

The current lineup includes Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jim McCarty, renowned guitarist Johnny “A” (Peter Wolf, Bobby Whitlock), bassist Kenny Aaronson (Bob Dylan, Billy Idol), singer/blues harpist/percussionist Myke Scavone (Ram Jam & Doughboys), and guitarist/singer John Idan.

Electriying, eclectic, and way ahead of their time, The Yardbirds continue their unbreakable legacy. The Yardbirds train keeps a rollin’!!!
